Extension Library ("we," "our," or "us") operates browser extensions for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use any of our extensions or visit our website.

We are committed to transparency and GDPR compliance. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, additional rights and protections apply to you as described in Section 8.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: When you create an account or subscribe to a paid plan, we collect your email address and payment details (processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number).
• Support requests: If you contact us, we collect the content of your message plus your email.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage analytics (with consent): Feature usage counts, error reports, and performance metrics. We only collect analytics if you opt in via the consent prompt shown on first install.
• Entitlement checks: When the extension contacts our servers to verify your subscription status, we log the request timestamp and extension identifier. We do not log the pages you visit.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Browsing history or page content (unless a specific feature requires it, in which case it is processed locally or with your explicit per-use consent).
• Keystrokes, form data, or passwords.
• Personal files on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Processing Location

Our servers are hosted in the United States. For AI-powered extensions, text you explicitly submit may be sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) for processing. This data is not stored by these providers beyond the time needed to generate a response, per their data processing agreements with us.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe — to process subscriptions and payments.
• AI providers (for AI-powered extensions) — only the text you explicitly submit, only when you initiate the action.
• Infrastructure providers — for server operation, with data processing agreements in place.
• Law enforcement — only when legally compelled.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while active; deleted within 30 days of deletion request.
• Analytics data: Aggregated/anonymized after 90 days; raw data deleted after 90 days.
• Payment records: Retained 7 years (tax regulations).

6. Data Security

We use TLS 1.3 encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Authentication tokens are stored securely in browser extension storage. We conduct regular security reviews.

7. Browser Permissions

Each extension requests only the minimum permissions needed. We use optional permissions where possible, requesting access only when you use a feature that needs it. Store listings detail every permission and its justification.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & Global)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
• Data portability — receive data in machine-readable format.
• Restrict processing — limit how we use your data.
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent — withdraw analytics consent at any time via extension settings.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@extensionlibrary.com or use the "Delete My Data" option in any extension's settings. We respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for authentication. Analytics cookies require explicit consent. Our extensions do not place cookies on websites you visit.

10. Children's Privacy

Our extensions are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via extension update notes and/or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
